The Chilocco School Board and Oklahoma House delegation urged for the money to remain in the bill, but Senator Bellmon did not push for its inclusion as he wants a statewide study of educational and health facilities for Indians first. Bellmon has been opposed to Indian resident schools, but it is unclear if this is true.
