![["Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thiessen of Collinsville, Oklahoma wrote to Congressman George B. Schwabe expressing their concerns about the unfairness of the Navy's point system for discharge. They feel that sailors who have served in dangerous areas should receive more credit towards discharge. Congressman Schwabe forwarded their letter to the Navy Department for consideration. The Navy is working on modifying the discharge formula to give credit for overseas service and prioritize the return of sailors who have been longest outside the country.
