Over $30 million in savings has been identified so far, with the total expected to reach $50 million annually. The goal is to close unnecessary government printing facilities and allow agencies to contract work directly to private printers. Displaced federal employees will be offered opportunities for jobs with their agencies or assistance in finding work in private firms.
