They are concerned about the allotment issue and feel that the federal representatives are not adequately representing the Indian people. They are organizing to fight for Indian land rights and have filed suits in various states, including Oregon. Representative Robert Smith has disclosed that Indian claims to federal lands in Oregon could wipe out state lands and forests, and a hearing will be held to address these issues. Amos A.
