    <dcterms:description>On January 11, 1945, Mr. Monroney submitted a concurrent resolution in the House of Representatives, establishing a Joint Committee on the Organization of the Congress. The committee would consist of six members from the Senate and six members from the House of Representatives, and would study and recommend improvements to the organization and operation of Congress. The committee would have the authority to conduct hearings, appoint experts, and report its findings and recommendations to Congress. The expenses of the committee would be split between the Senate and the House of Representatives.</dcterms:description>
