- Description:
- The document from Mr. Degnan suggests that Congress should take no action on current economic problems and should impose as few government rules and regulations as possible. However, Representative Jones believes that the economic crisis requires firm action and hopes that Congress will respond decisively to the President's proposals. Mr. Degnan later suggests in a follow-up letter that perhaps the best course of action would be to leave everything alone for a while. Representative Jones acknowledges Mr. Degnan's views and values his input as a way to better represent him in Congress.
