- Mrs. Lewis visited Congressman J. R. Jones' office regarding her son Randy, a Vietnam veteran with a drug problem. Randy was in jail awaiting charges and was to be admitted to a federal drug rehabilitation center once the charges were resolved. The Congressman's office could not provide direct help but offered assistance to other veterans with similar issues. The Lewis' are active in democratic politics and supported Ed Edmondson's campaign for senate.
