- Description:
- Mrs. Pendergrast called the district office regarding confusion with food stamp rules and regulations. Despite providing additional information on time, they were told they would not receive food stamps for the month. Case workers were overwhelmed with work and did not process their case in time. Mrs. Pendergrast was advised to apply for benefits around the first of the month and to make sure to have receipts for two months. Additionally, medical bills paid after the 20th cannot be counted towards the following month's food stamps.
