- Senator Elmer Thomas received a letter from the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, stating that the proposed sale of Choctaw tribal timber tracts in Oklahoma has been indefinitely postponed pending further study. The Senator had protested against the sale being conducted as a single unit, suggesting that it be sold in separate or smaller units to allow for fair bidding.
