- Description:
- Mulsie Williams wrote a letter to Elmer Thomas inquiring about the sale of coal and timber lands belonging to the Tribes. Elmer Thomas responded that the lands have not been sold yet and the sale of timber land has been postponed. He assured Williams that he will do his best to help the Indians. Williams expressed his desire for the lands to be sold so that the money could be used to benefit the Indians, and asked for Thomas' assistance in purchasing the land for the homeless Indians to receive per capita payments. Williams also mentioned his financial struggles and thanked Thomas for his past assistance to the Indian community.
