- Description:
- Mrs. Lavera Fisher writes to Senator Elmer Thomas expressing concern about the sale of valuable timbered lands in the Eastern part of the state. She believes that the land, appraised in 1912, should have increased in value over the years and objects to the sale at the 1912 appraisal value. She also raises concerns about the lack of reservation of mineral rights and the removal of timber from the land. She requests the Senator's careful consideration and postponement of the sale. Senator Thomas responds, assuring Mrs. Fisher that he has filed protests and is cooperating with Chief Durant of the Choctaw Tribe to address the issue.
