- Description:
- Senator Elmer Thomas received a letter from William Fisher regarding the need for relief work for Indians in Weleetka, Oklahoma. The Indian Office approved two road projects to provide work for the Indians. Senator Thomas expressed his interest in helping and suggested keeping in touch with the Superintendent for assistance. The Indian Office acknowledged the letter and stated they were taking necessary action to address the situation. Senator Thomas also wrote to the Indian Office requesting an investigation into the matter and for relief to be provided for the needy families.
