- Description:
- An Osage Indian named Hay-Shock-ey married Maude Grayum of Tulsa and they were looking for a Spanish-style house to buy. They faced legal issues in Fort Smith, Arkansas, with their interpreter and maid being released from jail. Maude was unsure about dropping a lawsuit against authorities. They rented an apartment and planned to have a good home with land for Hay-Shock-ey's horse. They also planned to visit Hot Springs for his stomach ailment. Hay-Shock-ey seemed amused by the situation and did not speak English, while Maude did not speak Osage.
