- Description:
- The author is responding to a letter from Mrs. Pearl Sellers regarding the status of funds for the Chickasaw and Choctaw Tribes. The Indian Office has informed the author that the funds do not justify a per capita payment this year, as the tribes are trying to dispose of their timber lands for additional funds but it will not be enough. There is no prospect for disposing of the coal lands belonging to the tribes, so the payment mentioned by Mrs. Sellers cannot be made. The author sends best wishes.
