- Description:
- The document dated March 18, 1946 from Mr. M. L. Summer to Honorable George B. Schwabe expresses opposition to the Wagner-Murray-Dingell Bills, which provide for compulsory health insurance. Mr. Summer is against socialized medicine and believes the United States is drifting towards state socialism. He requests that Mr. Schwabe advise that he is also opposed to socialized medicine. Mr. Schwabe responds on March 21, 1946, stating that he is also opposed to any form of socialized medicine and believes it must be opposed to save America for Americans. He suggests contacting other congressmen to ascertain their positions on the issue.
