- Description:
- George B. Schwabe, a member of the House of Representatives, is representing automobile dealers in Oklahoma who are protesting a proposed order by the Office of Price Administration that would force them to absorb increased prices from manufacturers. Schwabe believes the order is arbitrary and unjust, and he criticizes the Administrator of the Office of Price Administration for being unreasonable. He emphasizes the importance of Congress asserting the rights of the people and curbing bureaucratic overreach. Schwabe calls for Congress to repeal the authorization for the regulation and for the President to follow Congress's will.
