Schwabe had introduced a bill in Congress to automatically discharge servicemen in similar situations, but it was being blocked by the majority. He encouraged Mrs. Bovard to show extreme hardship and dependency to possibly get her husband discharged, and offered his assistance. Mrs. Bovard reiterated her desire for her husband to come home in her response to Schwabe.</dc:description></oai_dc:dc>
