- Description:
- The document from Frederick L. Brooks to Representative George Schwabe expresses opposition to the revival of O.P.A. or any form of price controls, except for rent controls. Brooks believes that bureaucratic control, such as O.P.A., is poorly administered and that people are tired of it. He believes that lobbyists, black marketers, and bureaucrats are pushing to continue price controls to protect their jobs. Brooks urges Schwabe to support an effective price control bill to prevent uncontrolled inflation.
