- Description:
- Dorothy Card writes to Representative George H. Schwabe expressing her support for amending the OPA bill to allow for more flexibility and a housecleaning of personnel. She believes that once the natural laws of supply and demand are allowed to function, production will increase and prices will adjust gradually. Schwabe responds, stating his consistent opposition to the extension of OPA and his belief that bureaucracy is hindering the functioning of Congress and the will of the people. He thanks Card for her views and input.
