- Description:
- George B. Schwabe, a congressman from Oklahoma, received a letter requesting him to vote in favor of extending the Office of Price Administration. Schwabe disagrees with this request, believing that government regulation stifles production and causes scarcity. He conducted a survey in his district and found that the majority of respondents were against continuing the OPA. Schwabe believes it is his duty to represent the overwhelming majority of his constituents on this issue.
