- Description:
- Mr. Robinson wrote to Mr. Schwabe asking for his support of the Merchant Seamen's War Service Act, H.R. 2346. Mr. Schwabe responded, expressing his appreciation for the service of the Merchant Marines but also raising concerns about the bill granting them the same benefits as soldiers and sailors. He stated that each measure must be considered on its own merits and that he would strive to do what is fair for all parties involved.
