- Description:
- This act authorizes an appropriation of $776,742.03 to be paid to the Osage Tribe of Indians for the sale of their land in Kansas. The funds will be placed in the tribe's account and distributed according to their rules and regulations. This appropriation is meant to settle the tribe's claim against the United States arising from a treaty in 1865. Additionally, the Secretary of the Interior is authorized to pay the fees and expenses of the tribe's attorneys from this appropriation.
