- Description:
- This bill authorizes an appropriation of $776,742.03 to be paid to the Osage Tribe of Indians for the sale of their lands by the United States. The amount will be distributed to the tribe in accordance with existing rules and regulations. The appropriation is meant to settle the tribe's claim against the United States arising from a treaty in 1865. The Secretary of the Interior is authorized to pay the fees and expenses of the tribe's attorneys from the appropriation.
