- Description:
- Mrs. Garrison wrote to Congressman Schwabe about the urgent housing shortage in the nation, especially for returning veterans. She requested support for the Wagner-Ellender-Taft Bill to address the issue. In response, Mrs. Warren, the Congressman's secretary, acknowledged the letter and informed Mrs. Garrison that the Congressman is working to alleviate the housing situation by releasing 200 prefabricated houses for rental to veterans. She also mentioned that the Congressman will consider Mrs. Garrison's views upon his return to Washington.
