- Description:
- This act authorizes an additional $200,000,000 to be appropriated for housing in connection with national defense. It also amends a previous act to increase the funding amount to $500,000,000 and includes provisions for the use of the funds, including restrictions on funding for child care and public schools. The total amount allocated for contributions to public and private agencies for the maintenance and operation of public works is limited to $40,000,000 after July 1, 1943.
