- Description:
- Mr. Schwabe received a telegram from the Chamber of Commerce requesting him to oppose H.R. 2232, the Fair Employment Practice Act. He expresses his opposition to the bill and states that he will never support similar measures. He believes that the proponents of the bill do not share his views on Americanism. He also mentions that President Truman supports the bill, but he remains against it. Schwabe informs the Chamber of Commerce of his stance on the issue.
