- Description:
- Mr. Schwabe received a letter from Mr. Sanditen complaining about the injustices of the OPA against retail businesses. Schwabe agrees with Sanditen's concerns and expresses his opposition to the OPA, stating that he was one of the few members of Congress who voted against its extension. He views the OPA as un-American and believes it should have ended in June 1945. Schwabe also mentions the Bachman Report and sends Sanditen a copy of the Smith Report and Congressional Record discussing the OPA. Schwabe appreciates Sanditen's letter and shares his support for the cause.
