- Description:
- The Superintendent of Schools in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma requested federal assistance for building a new school, stating that their plans were approved in 1942 but work was stopped. Congressman Schwabe contacted the Federal Works Agency on their behalf, but it was determined that the school board had not filed an application for assistance. The options for federal assistance were explained, but it was unlikely that the school would qualify. Congressman Schwabe expressed his willingness to help but stated that there was no known way to obtain funding for the construction of a new building.
