- Description:
- The text is a series of letters and resolutions regarding the transfer of 80 acres of land formerly owned by George Jones, a Creek Indian, to his heirs. The land was initially conveyed to the United States in trust for Adam Jones, George's son, but the Creek Tribe now wishes to transfer the title to his heirs. However, there is currently no authority for the sale or disposal of the land, and the only way to transfer the title would be through legislation. The resolution and proposed bill are enclosed with the letters for consideration.
