- Description:
- Robert Duncan had inquired about the possibility of Curtis Homeratha selling his land privately, but it was not possible due to regulations regarding the sale of trust or restricted Indian land. Duncan had been advised of the procedures applicable to the sale of such land, and Homeratha had filed an application for a supervised public sale. The land in question was located in Noble County, Oklahoma, and was to be listed and processed for public bidding in accordance with Departmental regulations. The Bureau of Indian Affairs had control and supervision over trust or restricted Indian land sales, and the regulations for such sales were outlined in Title 25 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
