- Description:
- Mrs. Mae Davis wrote a letter expressing concern about medical and health facilities for Indians at clinics in Anadarko and Lawton. The Division of Indian Health reviewed the situation and found that improvements had been made in screening procedures to adhere to eligibility criteria, resulting in some individuals being denied services. Mrs. Davis was advised to contact the Oklahoma Indian Health Area Office or the Medical Officer in Charge at the Lawton hospital for specific questions about eligibility requirements. Senator Monroney also responded to Mrs. Davis's letter, indicating that he had asked for a report on the clinics and would provide an update once received.
