- Description:
- The Board of Directors of Americans for Indian Opportunity held a special meeting to discuss the discharge of the executive director, Iola Hayden. After ratifying the President's decision to discharge Hayden, the Board agreed on a separation payment for her. The Ford Foundation expressed continued support for the organization. The Board also decided to follow AIO Personnel Policies for any other staff members resigning.
