- Description:
- A young married couple in Lawton, Oklahoma, received an invitation to attend the White House wedding of Lynda Bird Johnson to Marine Capt. Charles S. Robb. However, they were unable to attend due to prior commitments. The couple had previously lived at Center House in Washington, D.C., where they became friends with the couple getting married. The groom, Capt. Yost, is a Marine officer from Buffalo, NY, currently stationed at Fort Sill. The couple has found a home in Georgetown for themselves and the Secret Service men assigned to watch over them. The wedding ceremony is scheduled to be televised on the Ed Sullivan Show.
