- Description:
- Wallace Kidd called to inform Dr. William R. Carmack that Caddo County's application for eligibility under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 is based on language inserted by Senator Harris that allows counties with federal or state Indian reservations or restricted Indian lands to qualify. The application will be presented to the new Commissioner and then hand-carried to Washington. Wallace hopes Dr. Carmack will help push it through as Caddo County's industrialization efforts will suffer a setback without approval. Grady County was previously eligible under the program but was recently removed due to economic improvements.
