- Description:
- The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service has been working with Indian families for the past ten years, providing educational assistance to help improve their social, cultural, and economic conditions. The program aims to establish communication, encourage use of educational services, develop resources, involve leadership, improve family food supply, clothing, health, housing, and safety, promote family business management, agricultural production, and marketing, as well as engage in resource development and public affairs. 4-H club work is also a key focus of the program. The report highlights the challenges and successes of the Extension work with Indian families in Oklahoma.
