- Description:
- The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Indian Affairs restored $100,000 for the Bureau of Indian Affairs extension contract with OSU, which had been deleted in the Administration budget. This is $25,000 less per year than before, but it salvages most of the program. Edmondson released a statement about this and mentioned that both Senators had requested similar action in the Senate. The Subcommittee also restored $75,000 for planning and construction of a dorm at Euphala. It is mentioned that Senator Harris had written to Senator Hayden and Commissioner Bennett about the Bureau of Indian Affairs extension contract.
