- Description:
- Senator Fred R. Harris received a response from the Bureau of Indian Affairs regarding the Chilocco Indian School in Oklahoma. The Bureau is conducting a study on off-reservation boarding schools to determine the future direction of these schools and the support from the Indian community. The Bureau has not requested facility planning monies for Chilocco at this time. Senator Harris assures David Daulton of the Arkansas City Chamber of Commerce that he will work to have the school restored in the 1973 fiscal budget.
