- Senator Fred R. Harris received a letter from Mr. Dick Paris regarding Indian boarding schools. Senator Harris explained that he is against young Indian children being transported long distances to attend boarding schools, and believes they should have schools near their families. He mentioned his efforts in securing funding for the Eufaula Boarding School and increasing funding for Indian schools. Senator Harris also mentioned that he is not in favor of closing schools like Chilocco and Bacone.
