- Description:
- Glenn English, a member of Congress from Oklahoma, received a response from Assistant Secretary of Labor Albert Angrisani regarding the placement of youth in the Job Corps program. Angrisani explained that youth recruited and screened by the AFL-CIO Appalachian Council are being contacted by State Employment Security Agencies. The Council was not able to conclude final contact with the youth, but will be reimbursed for those enrolled in the Job Corps. English thanked Mr. Preston for bringing the matter to his attention.
