- Description:
- Glenn English, a member of Congress, received a letter from Zach D. Taylor, the Executive Director of the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments, expressing concern about the deletion of 30 questions from an upcoming Census survey. English investigated the matter and found that the Office of Management and Budget was reviewing the questions under the Paperwork Reduction Act. No final decision had been made, but the issue was expected to be resolved in mid-September. English forwarded Taylor's comments to OMB officials for review. Taylor requested English to call OMB and ask them to rescind the directive, as the final version of the survey was to be completed soon. English then wrote to Gordon Wheeler at OMB, enclosing Taylor's letter and requesting consideration of his comments. Wheeler responded that a thorough response was being prepared and they would be in touch soon.
