- Description:
- Congressman Glenn English received a letter from Bruce Hillenbrand, Director of OSHA's Federal-State Operations, stating that OSHA cannot support the Oklahoma Department of Labor's demonstration project on asbestos abatement due to lack of funding. Although OSHA provided partial help with the indirect cost rate, they could not fund the full amount needed. Commissioner Bill Paulk was informed of this decision and encouraged to resubmit the proposal for funding in Fiscal 1985. OSHA did not receive an increase in appropriations for consultation in FY 1984, making it impossible to consider the proposal under their current budget.
