- Description:
- The Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has improved its procedures for handling complaints about workplace safety violations. The revised instructions focus on inspections for alleged violations likely to result in physical harm, in order to prioritize resources and protect employees. Changes include conducting inspections for violations threatening physical harm, revising response times for complaints, and eliminating the distinction between "imminent danger" and "extremely serious" conditions. Employees can report violations by phone or in writing to the nearest OSHA office.
