- Description:
- The Department of Labor has allocated nearly $47 million in Job Training Partnership Act funds to 194 Indian and Native American tribes and groups for job and training programs from October 1, 1983 to June 30, 1984. This allocation is part of a larger fund of $108,925,000 for 21 months. The funds will support over 20,000 participants for the first period and 26,500 for the second period in various training programs. The largest allocation went to the Navaho Tribe of Indians at the Window Rock Reservation in Arizona.
