- Description:
- Darrel Booth, the Executive Manager of the Western Oklahoma Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association, is requesting approval for a certified apprenticeship training program. He believes that the union-sponsored program is more effective than the non-union programs in the area. Booth is seeking support from Congressman Wes Watkins and has contacted the United States Department of Labor for information on the status of their application. Warren C. Van Horne, Acting Director of the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, acknowledges Booth's letter and forwards their proposed standards for consideration.
