- A resolution was adopted by a meeting at the Unitarian Fellowship for Social Justice in Los Angeles condemning the Committee on Un-American Activities for not allowing cross examination of witnesses and for violating the constitutional rights of Hollywood writers. The resolution calls for the committee to be abolished and for subversive individuals to be prosecuted under existing laws by the Department of Justice. It also urges Congress to reject citations against Hollywood writers who refused to testify about their political opinions.
