Description:

The proposed amendment to H.R. 7421 extends Federal recognition to the Menominee Tribe, adopts recommendations from the Department of the Interior, and includes provisions from the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934. It also addresses the nomination and election of the Menominee Restoration Committee, eligibility for participants and voters, the opening of the 1954 tribal membership roll, and the election of tribal officers.
