- Description:
- The Pit River Indians are petitioning Congress to deal justly with their claim to the XL Ranch Indian Reservation. They want Congress to add land to the reservation to be held in trust for the Pit River Indians in California, as designated by the Secretary of the Interior in accordance with the Indian Reorganization Act. They do not want any bill to designate beneficiaries without giving all concerned Indians a chance to be heard. The petition includes signatures from various members of the Pit River Tribe.
