- Description:
- The Department of Labor has disapproved the petition for Trade Adjustment Assistance for the closing of PPG glass factories in West Virginia and Oklahoma. The Bureau of International Labor Affairs found that declining housing starts, increased competition from float glass, and declining imports were the major factors causing economic disruption, not foreign competition. The decision will be published in the Federal Register soon.
