- The Choctaw-Chickasaw Alliance passed a resolution opposing the appointment of Thomas J. Ellison as Area Director of the B.I.A. Muskogee Area Office. They believe Ellison does not support their efforts to protect tribal land and water rights. They are requesting support from Congressman John N. Happy Camp to appoint someone outside the Muskogee Area Office to the position. Congressman Camp thanked them for the information and assured them it will be passed on to the right place.
