- Description:
- The Choctaw-Chickasaw Alliance passed a resolution opposing the appointment of Thomas J. Ellison as Area Director at the Muskogee Area Office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. They believe Ellison does not support their efforts to protect tribal land and water rights. They recommend appointing someone from outside the Muskogee Area Office to the position. The resolution was sent to Governor David Hall and other officials for consideration.
